MLK Day Partnership, 2020 – Thousand Rainbows Ministries

Friends of TRM,

It is amazing to realize what we can do when we come together as Christians. Our practical acts of love are clearly multiplied. Every year we get to partner with LGBTQIA+ peeps to put 700 hygiene kits along with other essentials homeless youth in San Diego will have access to.
HRC leader, Heidi, mentioned how one youth who received items several years ago has been getting more involved to give back to other homeless youth. This was one of Heidi’s favorite stories and it is one of mine. We as an overtly Christian org. Have found a way to partner with the LGBTQ community that is important. As you look over what we did together this year, I encourage you to reflect on how we are building bridges between the Church and the LGBTQ Community so Christian leaders rise.

In our effort to build bridges, we collectively:

Gave $600

Gave 300 custom labeled lip balms

Gave 100’s of dollars worth of hygiene supplies, clothing, and other items.

Partnered with Christians from 4 Churches

Partnered with a School

Partnered with a major LGBTQ rights org., Human Rights Campaign
